10-10-10 - Crossfit WOD
Crossfit seems to be the newest workout trend to hit the fitness world/blogosphere. This morning was my first time trying this heart pumping strength and cardio combo workout - check out this video for more details.
My first intro to Crossfit was gentle with an at home workout of the day (WOD) that I modified from Carrots N Cake. This 10-10-10 WOD includes 10 reps/sets of bicep curls, push-ups and squats. The goal is to complete the sets back-to-back without resting and as fast as possible (while maintaining your form).
After an easy 3.5 mile I completed all 10 sets in just under 12 minutes. Don’t be fooled by how short this WOD is, it is hard! My arms were seriously shaking after 100 push-ups.
Post-marathon training I’d love to participate in a few Crossfit sessions. In the meantime, I’ll be focusing on short and sweet at home WODs.
